About the Role:
A regional bank in New Jersey is embarking on a significant Core Banking Transformation and is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to serve as a trusted advisor and chief of staff–style support to the Program Director. This role is critical to maintaining coordination, visibility, and strategic alignment across all transformation workstreams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in core banking migrations, executive-level communication skills, and the ability to manage program-level logistics in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a right-hand partner to the Program Director, supporting strategy execution and decision-making.
- Coordinate across multiple transformation workstreams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Lead the development and execution of meeting cadences, executive dashboards, and status reports.
- Track risks, dependencies, and action items with precision and follow-up.
- Support documentation and governance activities using tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- Prepare and follow up on executive-level presentations, communications, and stakeholder engagements.
Required Qualifications:
- Mid-to-senior level Project Manager with direct experience in core banking migrations (e.g., FIS, Fiserv, Temenos, Jack Henry).
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders and deliver clear, concise updates.
- Familiarity with banking operations, program governance, and risk management frameworks.
- Fluent in English and authorized to work in the U.S. (U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders only).
- Strong attention to detail, executive presence, and adaptability under pressure.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience supporting large-scale digital transformations in financial services.
- Strong command of planning and tracking tools including MS Project, Excel, Smartsheet, and MS Teams.
- Expertise in documentation and executive communications.
- Ability to anticipate project needs and take proactive action in a chief-of-staff capacity.
Work Arrangement:
Hybrid (2–3 days on-site per week in New Jersey)
