We are seeking a skilled and organized Project Manager to lead the FedNow real-time payments implementation for a Texas-based regional bank. This high-priority initiative will modernize the bank’s payments infrastructure and integrate it with the FIS IBS core banking system. The Project Manager will oversee planning, execution, and stakeholder communication to ensure the success of this transformative effort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of FedNow real-time payments, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical readiness.
- Coordinate across teams—including payments, operations, compliance, and IT—to manage project milestones and dependencies.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with vendors, including FIS and any FedNow-related service providers.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, prepare regular progress updates, and present status reports to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal governance frameworks.
- Facilitate UAT planning and post-implementation reviews.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 2 years leading payments modernization projects.
- Experience with real-time payments, ideally FedNow, RTP, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of FIS IBS core banking systems.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in regulated financial environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, ClickUp).
Preferred Skills:
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Familiarity with ISO 20022 messaging, fraud detection, or payment gateway systems.
- Experience coordinating efforts between internal teams and external vendors or regulators.
- Knowledge of Agile and hybrid project delivery models.
Work Arrangement:
Hybrid (2–3 days onsite in Dallas, Texas per week)
