A tier-one global bank is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Project Manager II to lead complex business and technology initiatives across the organization. This role is responsible for driving strategic project execution, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery aligned with business objectives and operational priorities.
The ideal candidate will possess strong project management expertise, stakeholder engagement capabilities, and experience managing initiatives within fast-paced financial services environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams delivering business and technology initiatives across the organization.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate project activities to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives.
- Manage stakeholder communications and expectations across business units, technology teams, vendors, and leadership.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, steering committee updates, and executive-level status presentations.
- Ensure adherence to established project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to support successful project execution and delivery outcomes.
- Track project budgets, resource allocation, and overall project performance metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing project delivery effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Support organizational change management activities related to project implementation and adoption.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of project management experience within financial services or a related industry.
- Proven experience successfully delivering complex, cross-functional business and technology projects.
- Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid frameworks.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects within dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency with project management tools, reporting platforms, and collaboration software.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
