A US bank is seeking a Project Manager/Senior Manager IT to join its technology team.
Location: Honolulu, HI
Position Overview:
This role will be responsible for leading and managing IT projects across the organization, ensuring successful delivery of technology initiatives that support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex IT projects from initiation through completion
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party resources as needed
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior leadership
- Implement and maintain project management best practices and methodologies
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT project management
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar project management certification preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing budgets and resources
- Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency with project management tools and software
- Banking or financial services industry experience preferred
