A tier-one global bank is seeking a Project Manager to support strategic initiatives and drive successful project delivery within a fast-paced financial services environment.

This role is responsible for managing projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational priorities, and enterprise governance standards. The Project Manager will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and oversee execution activities that support operational excellence and business transformation initiatives across the organization.

The ideal candidate will bring strong project management expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives within complex enterprise environments.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead and manage projects from initiation through delivery while ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities
  • Drive execution of enterprise initiatives while maintaining focus on timelines, quality standards, and operational outcomes
  • Ensure projects are completed within scope, schedule, and budget expectations

Project Planning & Governance

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including:
    • Scope management
    • Schedule and milestone tracking
    • Budget oversight
    • Resource allocation
    • Risk and issue management strategies
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise project management methodologies, governance standards, and delivery best practices
  • Establish reporting frameworks and governance processes to support operational transparency and execution discipline

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders across:
    • Technology
    • Operations
    • Business units
    • External vendors and partners
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication among stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project execution
  • Support decision-making processes and escalate issues appropriately to maintain delivery momentum

Risk Management & Operational Excellence

  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, dependencies, and operational issues
  • Implement mitigation strategies and corrective actions to ensure delivery success
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support lessons learned activities to enhance delivery effectiveness and operational maturity

Reporting & Stakeholder Communication

  • Track and report on:
    • Project metrics
    • Milestones
    • Deliverables
    • Risks and dependencies
  • Provide regular status updates and executive communications to senior leadership and project stakeholders
  • Maintain project documentation and governance artifacts throughout the project lifecycle

Vendor & Resource Management

  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party resources supporting project delivery activities
  • Coordinate external partners and delivery teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and organizational standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within corporate or financial services environments
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Agile methodologies
    • Waterfall frameworks
    • Hybrid project management approaches
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects successfully
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence stakeholders across all organizational levels
  • Proficiency with enterprise project management tools and reporting platforms
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred
  • Financial services industry experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting enterprise transformation, operational improvement, or technology delivery initiatives
  • Familiarity with governance, compliance, and risk management practices within banking organizations
  • Experience working within matrixed and highly collaborative enterprise environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive reporting capabilities
  • Ability to adapt quickly to evolving business priorities and fast-paced delivery environments
