We are seeking an experienced Senior Core Banking Administrator with deep expertise in FIS IBS (Integrated Banking Services) to oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and optimization of the platform. This role is essential to ensuring the stability and performance of the core banking environment, supporting key operations across technical, compliance, and business functions. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, this position plays a pivotal role in modernizing and securing the bank’s technology foundation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain the FIS IBS platform with minimal disruption to operations.
- Monitor daily system performance, conduct root-cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution of system issues.
- Coordinate patching, release validation, and change management in partnership with FIS and internal tech teams.
- Own batch job scheduling, parameter configurations, and overall system performance tuning.
- Create, maintain, and communicate standard operating procedures and configuration documentation.
- Support Operations, Compliance, and IT stakeholders by delivering timely insights and system updates.
- Leverage SQL for reporting, auditing, and ad hoc investigations.
- Manage incident workflows using tools like JIRA and ServiceNow.
Required Qualifications:
- Seniority Level: Senior (7–10+ years direct experience with FIS IBS).
- Proven experience with IBS Admin Tools, Batch Job Schedulers, and Parameter Configs.
- Proficiency in SQL for troubleshooting and reporting purposes.
- Strong understanding of banking operations and how core system changes impact business users.
- Effective communicator across technical and business domains.
- Familiarity with incident and problem management processes.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting FIS upgrades or migrations.
- Exposure to compliance-driven environments (e.g., audit prep, secure data handling).
- Ability to mentor junior administrators or analysts.
- Prior experience working with credit unions or mid-sized financial institutions.
- Familiarity with cloud or hybrid hosting models for core platforms.
