The TPM Sr. Director will have a strong technical background, ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services, with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery life cycle. This role requires experience building and leading a world class team of technical program managers with a mission to power real time, intelligent experiences for customers and associates.
Key responsibilities include leading technology focused discussions with senior leadership by providing valuable insights and recommendations that guide technology based decisions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication and collaboration skills, excellent problem solving and influencing skills, and a quantitative approach to problem solving. This role requires a collaborative implementer to holistic solutions and a systems thinker.
The position calls for an experienced TPM leader to grow and develop a team of TPMs while also building the foundations for the TPM practice. The successful candidate will have the ability to simplify the technically complex and drive well educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives. A deep focus on execution, follow through, accountability, and results is essential.
Exceptional cross team collaboration is required, with the ability to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done. Highly tuned emotional intelligence, good listening skills, and deep seated empathy for teams and partners are critical to success.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 9 years of experience managing technical programs
Preferred Qualifications:
• 9+ years of experience designing and building data intensive solutions using distributed computing
• 5+ years of experience in building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services and architecture, preferably using AWS
• 5+ years of building and leading experienced TPM teams
• 5+ years of experience building highly scalable mobile products and platforms
• 5+ years of experience with Agile delivery
• 5+ years of experience delivering large and complex programs where you own the business or technical vision, collaborate with large cross functional teams, secure commitments on deliverables and unblock teams to land business impact
• Experience in building systems and solutions within a highly regulated environment
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering)
• MBA or Master's Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent experience
