A large custody bank is seeking a Senior Principal, Tech PM to join its enterprise technology organization. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving technology product management strategy, execution, and innovation across complex enterprise platforms and strategic initiatives.

The Senior Principal, Tech PM will partner closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, engineering teams, and architecture organizations to define product vision, shape technology roadmaps, and oversee delivery of mission-critical technology solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise product management, financial services technology, and large-scale platform delivery within highly regulated environments.


Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Lead development and execution of product strategy for enterprise-wide technology platforms and strategic initiatives
  • Define long-term product vision, roadmap priorities, and investment strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Partner with business leadership to identify opportunities, define product requirements, and prioritize delivery initiatives
  • Ensure alignment between technology investments, operational priorities, and enterprise growth strategies

Enterprise Product Delivery

  • Drive execution of complex, enterprise-scale technology products from strategy through implementation and operational adoption
  • Lead Agile product development processes, ceremonies, governance, and delivery planning activities
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across:
    • Engineering
    • Architecture
    • Operations
    • Product Management
    • Business stakeholders
  • Manage product dependencies, trade-offs, risks, and execution priorities across large delivery portfolios

Stakeholder & Executive Engagement

  • Communicate product strategy, delivery progress, roadmap updates, and business outcomes to executive stakeholders
  • Influence strategic decision-making through data-driven insights, business cases, and product performance analysis
  • Build strong partnerships across technology and business organizations to drive enterprise alignment and execution success

Product Performance & Innovation

  • Define and monitor KPIs, success metrics, and business impact indicators for enterprise technology products
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and market opportunities to inform future product direction
  • Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and customer-centric innovation initiatives
  • Support modernization efforts involving scalable platform architectures and enterprise transformation initiatives

Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor and guide product managers, technology teams, and delivery leaders across the organization
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and execution excellence
  • Support organizational capability development across enterprise product management functions

Vendor & Portfolio Management

  • Manage vendor relationships, third-party technology partnerships, and platform integrations as needed
  • Oversee enterprise product portfolios and support strategic prioritization and investment decisions

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in technology product management
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in senior leadership roles overseeing enterprise technology products or platforms
  • Proven track record delivering complex, enterprise-scale technology solutions
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
    • Agile methodologies
    • Enterprise product delivery frameworks
    • Technology modernization strategies
  • Strong technical acumen with ability to engage engineering teams on architecture, design, and implementation topics
  • Excellent stakeholder management, executive communication, and influencing capabilities
  • Experience within financial services, banking, or regulated environments strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to drive consensus and influence across matrixed organizations
  • Strong strategic thinking, prioritization, and execution management skills
  • Experience managing enterprise product portfolios and balancing complex delivery trade-offs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree such as MBA or Master’s in Technology, Engineering, or Business-related field
  • Experience supporting enterprise modernization, cloud transformation, or platform scalability initiatives
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture, distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native technologies
  • Strong understanding of operational governance, compliance, and risk management within financial services organizations
  • Experience leading large cross-functional product organizations within enterprise banking environments
