A client of ours, a leading financial technology company based in the San Francisco Bay Area, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Program Manager to join their Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO). This role is critical in driving high-priority, cross-functional initiatives that shape the strategic direction of the organization. Acting as a “general manager for hire,” you will lead complex programs selected by executive leadership, ensuring alignment, execution, and measurable impact across teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic, cross-functional programs in a fast-paced environment
  • Translate ambiguous business challenges into structured, actionable plans
  • Drive execution of high-impact initiatives aligned with organizational strategy
  • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., product, engineering, marketing)
  • Build compelling narratives and communicate program progress to stakeholders
  • Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies
  • Develop scalable processes to improve operational efficiency and program velocity
  • Ensure accountability and alignment across multiple workstreams

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 8+ years of experience in program management, business operations, strategy, or consulting
  • Proven experience working in FinTech or banking-related environments (or equivalent complex, regulated industries)
  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting to executive (C-Suite) stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives without direct authority
  • Advanced project/program management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to independently drive solutions in ambiguous, high-pressure environments
  • Strong proficiency in English (written and verbal)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience scaling cross-functional operations and systems
  • Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Demonstrated success in transformation or strategic initiatives
  • Familiarity with leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and decision-making
  • Experience in long-term or multi-phase program delivery environments
