A major Japanese global bank is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to join its Capital Markets technology team.

Role Overview:
The Senior Solution Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing technology solutions that support capital markets trading, risk management, and operations. This role requires deep technical expertise combined with strong understanding of capital markets business processes and workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect scalable, high-performance solutions for capital markets applications including trading platforms, risk systems, and market data infrastructure
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, traders, and technology teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Evaluate and recommend technology platforms, frameworks, and tools to support capital markets operations
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and regulatory compliance
- Lead proof of concept initiatives and technology assessments for new capabilities
- Document architecture designs, technical specifications, and integration patterns
- Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to development staff
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in capital markets technology
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- 8+ years of experience in solution architecture or senior technical roles within capital markets or financial services
- Strong understanding of capital markets products including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and foreign exchange
- Expertise in modern application architecture patterns including microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native design
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or C#
- Experience with distributed systems, messaging platforms, and real-time data processing
- Knowledge of market data systems, order management systems, and trading platforms
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements impacting capital markets technology
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage both technical and business audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or related field
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with low-latency trading systems and high-frequency trading infrastructure
- Understanding of blockchain and distributed ledger technologies
Compensation: $202,000.00 – $237,000.00
