A US regional bank is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of cutting-edge digital banking solutions. This role is critical in translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and innovative architectures that enhance customer experience across mobile and online banking platforms. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, driving technology strategy and ensuring alignment with regulatory and enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Architecture
- Define and document end-to-end architecture for digital banking platforms, including mobile apps, online banking, and backend services
- Ensure solutions align with business goals, compliance standards, and industry best practices
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance systems
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with business leaders, product managers, and engineering teams to gather requirements
- Translate business needs into actionable technical solutions
- Act as a trusted advisor on architectural decisions and technology strategy
Technology Leadership & Innovation
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to scalability, performance, and security
- Lead selection of tools, platforms, and frameworks
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and architecture teams
Integration Strategy
- Design integration approaches across core banking systems, payment gateways, identity management, and third-party APIs
- Ensure seamless multi-channel integration to enhance customer experience
Governance & Compliance
- Define and enforce architectural principles, design patterns, and coding standards
- Ensure adherence to security, regulatory, and data privacy requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR)
- Monitor compliance with enterprise architecture and governance frameworks
Team Leadership & Support
- Plan, assign, and oversee activities of technical team members on projects as needed
- Provide subject matter expertise and mentorship to junior team members
- Support strategic planning and project management efforts
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in application analysis, systems design, or systems development
- 5+ years of experience in digital banking, fintech, or related domains
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable, secure technology solutions
- Strong understanding of architecture frameworks, integration patterns, and system design
- Experience working with regulatory and compliance standards in financial services
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with mobile and online banking platforms
- Familiarity with API-driven architectures and microservices
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices
- Experience with identity and access management solutions
