A retail bank in New Jersey is seeking a Senior Splunk Engineer to support a Finance Transformation Project. This fully remote position (except for the first two weeks onsite for onboarding) requires an experienced Splunk specialist to enhance the bank’s Splunk environment to support finance transformation initiatives, compliance reporting, and risk management. The engineer will work closely with CISO and the Director of Financial Control Delivery to ensure optimal implementation and system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Splunk Enterprise to support financial transformation initiatives.
- Develop and optimize dashboards, alerts, and reports for financial operations and risk monitoring.
- Integrate Splunk with banking systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for log ingestion and monitoring.
- Collaborate with the CISO and security teams to ensure compliance with risk management frameworks.
- Identify and implement performance improvements for large-scale data ingestion.
- Monitor log pipelines, troubleshoot Splunk-related issues, and ensure seamless real-time analytics.
- Provide technical leadership and best practices for Splunk usage within financial reporting.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Splunk Engineering, including deployment, optimization, and maintenance.
- Experience in banking/finance and working on transformation projects.
- Expertise in log monitoring, large-scale data ingestion, and troubleshooting.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, or PowerShell for automation and integrations.
- Knowledge of compliance and security protocols for financial systems.
- Excellent collaboration skills, working with cross-functional teams including finance and IT security.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools.
- Experience building advanced reports for compliance and regulatory audits.
- Knowledge of banking risk management frameworks and financial data security requirements.
