A US bank is seeking a Solution Architect to join its technology organization and lead the design and implementation of enterprise technology solutions that support strategic business initiatives.

This role is responsible for translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical architectures while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and banking industry best practices. The Solution Architect will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, engineering teams, infrastructure organizations, and security groups to deliver innovative solutions that drive operational efficiency, modernization, and digital transformation across the organization.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud technologies, systems integration, and modern software engineering practices within financial services or similarly regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Design and develop comprehensive technology solutions that align with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical architectures
  • Define target-state solution designs, integration patterns, and modernization strategies across enterprise systems

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with:
    • Business stakeholders
    • Product owners
    • Development teams
    • Infrastructure organizations
    • Security groups to ensure successful solution delivery and architectural alignment
  • Facilitate technical design sessions and provide architectural guidance throughout the implementation lifecycle

Technology Evaluation & Innovation

  • Evaluate and recommend technology platforms, frameworks, tools, and architectural approaches that support strategic business initiatives
  • Conduct technology assessments and provide recommendations for:

    • Cloud adoption
    • Enterprise scalability
  • Stay current on:
    • Industry trends
    • Emerging technologies
    • Enterprise architecture best practices
    • Financial services technology innovations

Architecture Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure solutions comply with:
    • Security standards
    • Banking regulations
    • Compliance frameworks
    • Enterprise governance policies
  • Establish and maintain architecture documentation including:
    • Solution designs
    • Technical specifications
    • Integration patterns
    • System diagrams
    • Reference architectures
  • Participate in architecture reviews and governance activities across enterprise initiatives

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to development teams and engineering organizations
  • Mentor technical staff and promote architecture best practices across delivery teams
  • Support vendor evaluations and technology selection processes as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in:
    • Solution Architecture
    • Enterprise Architecture
    • Related senior technical roles
  • Strong experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies
  • Proven track record designing and implementing complex enterprise technology solutions
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Systems integration patterns
    • API design principles
    • Distributed systems
    • Enterprise architecture standards
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as:
    • AWS
    • Azure
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Agile methodologies
    • DevOps practices
    • Modern software delivery frameworks
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Financial services or banking industry experience preferred
