A US credit union is seeking a Solutions Architect to join its enterprise technology organization. This role is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and modern technology solutions that support strategic business objectives and digital transformation initiatives across the organization.

The Solutions Architect will serve as a key bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, translating business requirements into enterprise-grade technical architectures and implementation strategies. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in enterprise solution design, cloud technologies, integration architectures, and financial services technology environments.


Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Solution Design

  • Design and develop comprehensive technology solutions aligned with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing technical architectures and implementation plans
  • Define solution designs, integration patterns, and modernization strategies supporting enterprise digital transformation initiatives

Stakeholder Collaboration & Technical Leadership

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technology organizations to gather requirements and define technical solutions
  • Lead technical discussions and provide architectural guidance throughout the software development and implementation lifecycle
  • Partner with engineering, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to ensure successful solution delivery
  • Mentor development teams on architecture best practices, emerging technologies, and solution design principles

Technology Evaluation & Modernization

  • Evaluate and recommend technology platforms, tools, frameworks, and architectural approaches supporting current and future business initiatives
  • Conduct technology assessments and provide recommendations for system optimization, modernization, and scalability improvements
  • Participate in vendor evaluations and technology selection processes

Architecture Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements within financial services environments
  • Support development and maintenance of enterprise architecture standards, governance processes, and technical best practices
  • Ensure adherence to security principles, operational resiliency requirements, and compliance obligations

Documentation & Delivery Support

  • Create and maintain detailed architecture documentation including:
    • Solution designs
    • Technical specifications
    • Integration architectures
    • Reference diagrams
    • Governance artifacts
  • Support Agile/Scrum delivery teams throughout implementation, testing, deployment, and operational readiness phases

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar enterprise technology leadership role
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Software development methodologies
    • Design patterns
    • Enterprise architectural frameworks
    • Integration architectures
  • Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Knowledge of APIs, microservices architectures, and enterprise integration technologies
  • Familiarity with relational and NoSQL database technologies
  • Strong understanding of security principles, governance standards, and compliance requirements within financial services environments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field
  • Professional certifications such as:
    • TOGAF
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
    • Azure Architect certifications
    • Similar enterprise architecture credentials
  • Experience within financial services or credit union environments
  • Familiarity with core banking systems and financial technology platforms
  • Experience supporting DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation initiatives
  • Experience supporting enterprise modernization and digital transformation initiatives
