About the Role:
Our client, a regional retail bank, is undergoing a major Finance Transformation Project and is in search of a Experienced Splunk Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and integration of Splunk solutions. This role plays a pivotal function in enhancing the bank’s operational visibility and compliance reporting. The selected engineer will collaborate with key stakeholders, including the CISO and Director of Financial Control Delivery, to ensure high-quality logging, monitoring, and reporting within a secure and compliant infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, optimize, and maintain Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud across financial environments.
- Integrate Splunk with banking systems and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Design and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reports tailored to operational, risk, and compliance needs.
- Manage large-scale log ingestion pipelines and support troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align Splunk solutions with finance transformation objectives.
- Ensure monitoring tools adhere to best practices in compliance, risk, and security protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Splunk Engineering roles.
- Expertise in log ingestion, monitoring, and dashboard development.
- Solid grasp of compliance and risk management practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially interfacing with C-level stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in finance or banking environments, particularly in Finance Transformation projects.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of SIEM tools, cloud logging practices, and secure architecture patterns.
- Proven ability to work in hybrid financial/technical teams with distributed structures.
