A large national consumer bank is seeking a Sr. Director, Technical Program Management to lead programs that deliver on critical business goals and build large scale products and platforms.

About the Team: The Enterprise Platforms Technology organization comprises many of the bank’s most important enterprise platforms. This group establishes practices for building technology solutions across the company and delivers capabilities that exemplify those practices. As a TPM in this organization, you will leverage your technical acumen and engineering experience to drive the strategy and execution of large scale, technically complex, cross functional programs aligned with the bank’s business priorities. You’ll break down complexity and organizational silos, influence roadmaps, dive deep into system design and architecture, make technical tradeoffs, drive platform consolidation, and identify, resolve, define, and escalate mitigation plans for hard technical dependencies.
Our TPM Sr. Directors have:
Strong technical backgrounds (ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services) with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery life cycle
Experience building and leading a world class team of technical program managers with a mission to power real time, intelligent experiences for customers and associates
Lead technology focused discussions with senior leadership by providing valuable insights and recommendations that guide technology based decisions
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
Excellent problem solving and influencing skills
A quantitative approach to problem solving and a collaborative implementer to holistic solutions; a systems thinker
Ability to simplify the technically complex and drive well educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives
Deep focus on execution, follow through, accountability, and results
Exceptional cross team collaboration; able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done
Highly tuned emotional intelligence, good listener, and deep seated empathy for teams and partners

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
At least 9 years of experience managing technical programs
Preferred Qualifications
9+ years of experience designing and building data intensive solutions using distributed computing
5+ years of experience in building distributed systems and highly available systems
Compensation: $245100 – $279800/yr
