A US bank is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex enterprise initiatives that support strategic business objectives and operational excellence across the organization.

This role is responsible for managing projects through the full lifecycle, coordinating cross-functional teams, driving stakeholder alignment, and ensuring successful delivery of high-impact initiatives in a fast-paced banking environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong project leadership, governance expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting organizational transformation and operational improvement efforts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle including:
    • Project initiation
    • Planning
    • Execution
    • Monitoring
    • Closure
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including:
    • Scope management
    • Scheduling and milestones
    • Budget oversight
    • Resource planning
    • Risk mitigation strategies
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among business stakeholders, leadership teams, vendors, and project resources
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks and issues proactively, and implement mitigation and escalation strategies
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and aligned with business objectives
  • Provide executive-level reporting, status updates, and governance communications to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to project management methodologies, delivery processes, and operational execution
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party delivery resources as needed
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise governance standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
  • Support organizational transformation initiatives and operational modernization efforts

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field
  • 7+ years of project management experience, preferably within banking or financial services environments
  • Proven track record successfully managing large-scale, complex enterprise initiatives
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Agile methodologies
    • Waterfall delivery frameworks
    • Hybrid project management approaches
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency with enterprise project management tools and reporting platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in fast-paced environments
  • Experience supporting organizational change management and transformation initiatives
  • PMP certification strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within highly regulated banking or financial services organizations
  • Familiarity with enterprise governance, compliance, and risk management practices
  • Experience leading operational improvement, technology transformation, or strategic delivery initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication capabilities
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
