A large Southeast super-regional bank is seeking a Strategic Program Leader I to drive complex, enterprise-wide initiatives that align with organizational objectives and deliver measurable business value. This role is critical in supporting core banking strategy and implementation efforts, ensuring programs are executed effectively to drive operational excellence and long-term growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple enterprise-wide strategic programs simultaneously
  • Develop comprehensive program plans including objectives, timelines, resources, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across business units, technology teams, and executive leadership
  • Monitor program performance and provide regular updates and insights to stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve risks, issues, and dependencies proactively
  • Drive change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of program outcomes
  • Establish and maintain program governance frameworks and best practices
  • Manage program budgets, resources, and deliverables effectively
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within program teams
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout program lifecycle

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or related field
  • 7+ years of program or project management experience, preferably within financial services
  • Proven track record delivering complex, enterprise-wide programs
  • Strong knowledge of program management methodologies and frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience managing program budgets and resources
  • Proficiency with program management tools and software
  • Fluency in English required

Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field
  • PMP or PgMP certification
  • Experience in banking operations, regulatory environments, and compliance frameworks
  • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience with change management frameworks
  • Background in digital transformation initiatives
  • Experience supporting core banking strategy and implementation programs
