A major Japanese global bank is seeking a Vice President, IT Project Management to join its technology team.

Role Overview
The Vice President, IT Project Management will be responsible for leading and managing complex technology projects and initiatives. This role requires a seasoned professional who can drive project execution, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure successful delivery of critical IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple complex IT projects from initiation through delivery
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage dependencies across multiple workstreams
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues
- Provide regular status updates and reporting to senior management and stakeholders
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
- Drive continuous improvement in project management methodologies and practices
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party resources as needed
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in IT project management
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex technology projects
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in the financial services industry preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency with project management tools and software
