A US bank is seeking a Vice President, Solution Architect II to join their technology team.

Role Overview
The Solution Architect II will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise technology solutions that align with business objectives and strategic initiatives. This role requires deep technical expertise and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and efficient architectural designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive solution architectures for enterprise applications and systems
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to understand requirements and deliver optimal solutions
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and platforms that support business goals
- Create detailed technical documentation including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and implementation guidelines
- Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise architecture standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle
- Conduct architecture reviews and assessments to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation
- Participate in vendor evaluations and technology selection processes
- Support integration efforts across multiple systems and platforms
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Extensive experience in solution architecture and enterprise application design
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and technology stacks
- Experience with cloud platforms and modern infrastructure technologies
- Understanding of security principles, data governance, and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in relevant technical field
- Industry certifications in architecture or cloud technologies
- Experience in financial services or highly regulated industries
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
