A $437.3M credit union located in Texas is seeking a VP, Head of Technology to lead its technology organization and drive digital transformation initiatives.

Position Overview:
The VP, Head of Technology will serve as a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of the technology function. This executive role requires a visionary leader who can align technology strategy with business objectives, manage complex IT operations, and foster innovation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive technology strategies that support organizational goals and enhance member experience
- Lead and mentor the technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Oversee IT infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and data management functions
- Partner with executive leadership to identify technology opportunities that drive business growth and operational efficiency
- Manage technology budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Drive digital transformation initiatives and modernization of legacy systems
- Establish and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic investments
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver solutions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, preferably in financial services
- Proven track record of leading technology organizations through transformation
- Strong understanding of banking systems, core platforms, and financial technology
- Experience with cybersecurity, risk management, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinking with ability to translate business needs into technology solutions
- Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships
- Knowledge of cloud computing, digital banking platforms, and emerging technologies
