A US bank is seeking a VP, Project Manager to join their team.
Location: On-site – California, MD / San Diego, CA
Position Overview
The VP, Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing strategic projects across the organization, ensuring successful delivery of initiatives that support business objectives and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex, cross-functional projects from initiation through completion
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with stakeholders across multiple departments to ensure alignment and successful project execution
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies
- Facilitate project meetings, prepare status reports, and communicate updates to senior leadership
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Drive continuous improvement in project management methodologies and best practices
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party resources as needed
- Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with organizational standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 7-10 years of project management experience, preferably in financial services
- PMP certification or equivalent strongly preferred
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Compensation: $101K/yr – $155K/yr
