A regional bank in Chicago is seeking a Business Analyst to support a portfolio of compliance and regulatory payment initiatives. This consulting role is ideal for an experienced analyst who thrives in regulated financial environments and is comfortable working across multiple stakeholders to deliver clear, actionable reporting and data flow documentation. The position centers on FIS Systematics, PeP+ systems and payments messaging infrastructure, contributing to the bank’s efforts in staying ahead of regulatory requirements and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support regulatory and compliance projects related to ACH and SWIFT payments.
- Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
- Trace data flows and document current-state processes for audit and regulatory review.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in compliance, technology, and operations.
- Contribute to QA and UAT efforts by ensuring requirements traceability and execution readiness.
- Leverage tools like Excel, SQL, and payments mapping systems to support reporting and validation.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory timelines and internal project milestones.
Required Qualifications:
- Seniority Level: Mid-Level to Senior-Level
- Experience: Proven background in business analysis within financial services, especially in regulatory or payments environments.
- Core Banking System: Experience with FIS Systematics PeP+ required.
- Language: Fluent in English.
- Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders only.
Preferred Skills:
- Deep familiarity with ACH and SWIFT payment messaging standards.
- Prior experience in compliance-driven system or operational change projects.
- Ability to clearly document current-state data environments and operational workflows.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, especially with compliance and IT teams.
- Hands-on experience supporting QA/UAT and audit preparation activities.
