About the Role:

A confidential commercial financial services organization in Purchase, NY is seeking a Senior Data Migration Leadto oversee the end-to-end data consolidation and conversion workstream supporting a large-scale M&A integration program. This position is essential to ensuring clean, compliant, and efficient data transitions across legacy and target environments. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of enterprise data structures and strong leadership across migration planning, execution, and reconciliation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the full data migration lifecycle, from data mapping and transformation to cutover execution.
  • Lead the cleansing, validation, and reconciliation of customer, product, financial, and operational datasets.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across legacy platforms, target systems, IT, compliance, and cutover teams.
  • Create and manage detailed source-to-target mapping documentation and audit trails.
  • Develop and execute data quality and testing strategies, including parallel runs and go/no-go criteria.
  • Support risk identification, readiness certification, and issue resolution during pre- and post-migration phases.

Required Qualifications:

  • Senior-level professional with 8+ years of data migration leadership experience.
  • Extensive experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, DataStage, Talend, and strong SQL skills.
  • Proven expertise managing batch processingflat file handling, and reconciliation in financial environments.
  • Familiarity with both legacy and modern core systems (e.g., Guidewire, FIS, Fiserv).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. (U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders only).

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience in M&A data migration, especially within financial services or commercial insurance.
  • Strong command of data lineage, compliance, and audit documentation.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams, including external vendors and business SMEs.
  • Skilled in using Smartsheet, Excel, and other tools for planning and tracking.
  • Comfortable navigating complex dependencies and risk-driven environments.

Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite in Purchase, NY
